Opening Doors to Opportunity

Every child deserves the chance to explore their passions, develop new skills and reach their full potential—regardless of financial barriers. giveACCESS ensures that children in need can participate in sports, arts and educational opportunities alongside their peers. 

Through donated equipment, financial assistance and half-day camps, we help kids get in the game—whether that game is on the field, on stage, or in the classroom. We cover participation fees, uniforms, instruments and supplies so that no child is left out due to cost. From sports leagues and tutoring to music lessons and camps, we ensure that every child can pursue their passions and build confidence, friendships and skills along the way.

But it’s difficult for us as a family because we are a low-income family. We are a low-income family and it would be quite difficult to fulfill my dream of playing competitive soccer and play professionally so I would appreciate the help to make my dreams come true towards playing professional soccer and help me keep my goal of making my parents proud of my hard work”

EDUCATION

“Receiving support from A Precious Child will not only help me academically, but emotionally as well. In school, I am currently struggling with my grade in math class. With the tutor provided by A Precious Child however, I am able to improve my grade in that class, as well as improve my emotional well-being, as I am less stressed about passing math class and the workload that comes with it. Program Offerings

Financial Assistance

We provide financial assistance to families in need, covering registration fees, uniforms, instruments, tutoring fees and other essential expenses related to sports, arts or education. This support ensures that no child is sidelined due to financial barriers, giving them the opportunity to grow and thrive alongside their peers.

Camps

Through partnerships with local teams and dance companies, A Precious Child hosts half-day camps that give children in need the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a specific sport or art. Beyond the basics, participants gain valuable lessons in sportsmanship and teamwork, building confidence both on and off the field and stage.

Equipment Drive

Every fall, A Precious Child teams up with Kroenke Sports Charities to host the giveSPORTS Equipment Drive at Ball Arena. This annual event collects new and gently used sports equipment, highlighting the impact a single piece of equipment can have on a child in need. All donated items are distributed through our Agency Partners, directly benefiting thousands of children each year and ensuring they have the gear they need. 

Ways to Get Involved

Host a Drive

Collect new and gently-used sports equipment. Then, deliver your collections to Ball Arena during the annual giveSPORTS Equipment Drive or directly to A Precious Child. 2025 date is still to be determined!   

giveSPORTS Drive opportunities become available in the fall. Come back then for all the information!

A Precious Child

A Precious Child, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2008, serves children and their caregivers in need across eight Denver Metro counties by providing essential resources and holistic support to help them achieve their full potential. Through partnerships with over 300 Agency Partners and our Cradle to Career programming, we address unmet needs, from basic essentials like clothing, diapers and school supplies as well as providing access to educational and extracurricular opportunities and the soft skills necessary for workforce readiness. Annually, we serve nearly 50,000 children and distribute over $12 million in essential goods with the support of more than 7,000 volunteers, empowering families to overcome poverty and build self-sufficiency.
