Fill A Backpack Drive

Fill A Backpack provides backpacks filled with grade-required school supplies to underserved children to maximize their academic potential. This year, A Precious Child’s goal is to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to 11,500 children in need in the Denver Metro Area.

RTD plays a crucial role in helping to make pathways smoother and more accessible for all, including historically underserved populations in our community. Through initiatives like Zero Fare for Youth, which allows youth 19 and under to ride at no cost, RTD is working to eliminate transportation barriers that might otherwise prevent students from getting to school, summer programs, and other essential services. Just as public transportation is a crucial resource that ensures students can attend school and have equal access to education, the supplies and equipment needed for learning in the classroom are equally essential for a child’s success. Together, we can directly impact the academic, social, and economic wellbeing of the communities we serve.”
