Eligibility
To be eligible for A Precious Child’s programs, families must:
- Have an active referral from an Agency Partner.
- Live in one of the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, and Weld.
- Be a parent or primary caregiver of a child or children 18 years old and younger.
- Currently live at 300% or below the Federal Poverty Level or need emergency support due to experiencing domestic abuse, asylee/refugee status, foster placement, house fire or flooding.

Get A Referral
You can obtain a referral from one of our 300+ Agency Partners. If you are needing assistance finding a nearby Agency Partner, please contact us by emailing Intake@APreciousChild.org
We partner with all major Denver Metro County Health and Human Service Agencies. Please connect with your local HHS representative or call their main line to obtain a referral:

After you get a referral, you can make an appointment to shop at the Resource Center. To schedule, call 303.466.4272 and press option 2. Please leave a voicemail to receive a call back.
Shop at our Cost-Free Resource Center
We offer gently-used clothing, food, home goods, toys, books, diapers and baby essentials. Our Family Advocates help navigate additional resources for your family.
During your visit, our team will provide an overview of the services available at A Precious Child and guide you through the process.
Please Note:
- Your referral is valid for 2 years.
- With a referral, you can shop every 6 months (up to 2 times a year).
Programs We Offer
Resource Bridge
Part of our Resource Bridge program is our cost-free Resource Center with gently-used clothes, food, home goods, toys, books, diapers and baby essentials. Our Family Advocates are available to support with resource navigation for you and your family.
giveACCESS
Funding for participation fees and equipment related to sports, arts and education and sports equipment, along with camp events for children to stay involved.
To qualify, children must be between the ages of 5-18 with a referral from our team during your appointment or from an Agency Partner.
Funding is provided based on community support and is not guaranteed.
Fill A Backpack
New backpacks with school supplies for children, Kindergarten-12th grade, before the school year.
A Precious Child registers current clients through an enrollment process each summer as supplies are available.
Precious Gift
New gift bundles during the holiday season for children up to 18.
A Precious Child registers current clients through an enrollment process each winter as gifts are available.
Pathways
On the job training for young adults in need to prepare them for the workforce.
Young adults can apply directly to this program.
