Whether you’re making room for new belongings or have outgrown your items, consider donating them to A Precious Child! Donated items go to our Donation Center which provides referred families the opportunity to shop–for free–for essential items they need!
Due to our commitment to safety and the environment, government regulations, and the high cost of disposal, we are unable to accept certain items. Help us better serve the community and support our mission by reviewing our accepted and non-accepted items lists before donating.

Monday – Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Please do not drop off items outside of these hours. We will not be able to accept them.

How Your Donations Make an Impact
At A Precious Child, we strive every day to provide families in need with quality essentials while ensuring they receive support with dignity. Every donation that comes through our doors has a meaningful purpose – either directly helping families through our cost-free store or being thoughtfully recycled to minimize environmental impact.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, in 2024, A Precious Child was able to:
Distribute 512,158 lbs. of goods directly to the community through our Resource Bridge
Recycle 156,595 lbs. of low-quality textiles in partnership with Cycla
Recycle 1,860 car seats in partnership with Colorado State Troopers
Recycle 26,420 lbs. of books in partnership with Dream Books
Recycle 12,742 lbs. of plastics in partnership with EcoCycle
Recycle 1,309 lbs. of electronics in partnership with EcoCycle

In new and Gently Used Condition
Please note that we cannot accept everything, and do not have ability to throw items away for you, so please check this list thoroughly to ensure we are able to accept your donations. For any questions, Contact Us.

- Essential Home Goods (Small Appliances, Glassware, Dishware, Pots & Pans, Bath Towels, Shower Curtains, Toothbrush Holders, Soap Dispensers, Sheets, Blankets and Comforters)
- Baby Essentials (Baby Swing, High Chair, Play Pens, Bassinets, Strollers)
- New Baby Diapers, Wipes, Formula & Baby Hygiene
- Sports equipment (No Golf or Ski Equipment)
- New Hygiene (Full or Travel Size)
- New or Fully Functioning Bikes (No Flat Tires)
- New Helmets Only
- New Backpacks and School Supplies
- New Art Supplies (Canvas, Paint Supplies, Color Pencils)
- New Non-perishable & Non Expired Food Items
- Used or New Car Seats are accepted. Please note that any used car seats will go to our recycling program with the Colorado State Troopers

Donation Tips
DO:
- Separate clothing from household items in boxes or bags
- Wash or dry-clean clothing. Keep shoes paired with a rubber band
- Wrap breakable items in newspaper and place in boxes
- Include all pieces and parts to children’s games and toys
DON’T:
- Donate broken or soiled items
- Leave items unattended outside
- Give items that are hazardous or unsafe
- Donate recalled items, please check HERE before donating

- Used Helmets
- Used/Open Hygiene, First Aid, Food or Cosmetic Items
- Inoperable or Damaged Bikes, Appliances, Cookware, Etc
- Construction Materials, Plumbing or Building Supplies
- Medical Equipment
- Fire Extinguishers
- Weapons or Ammunition

Directions
We are located at 7051 W. 118th Ave. in Broomfield. The Donation Center is located around the backside of the building. Follow our road around back and a team member will assist in collecting donations.
